Firefox 8 final now available for upgrade

Download here: Get More From Your Firefox

Or if you are feeling a little bit adventuresome try the 64 bit Nightly along with Java6 x64 and Flashplayer 11 x64......It is definately stable enough for a daily driver.

Nightly x64 (v10.0a1): Firefox Nightly Builds
Java6: Java Downloads for All Operating Systems
Flash-player 11: Adobe - Install a different version of Adobe Flash Player

Happy browsing which ever fork you chose to follow.

    Whoah. STOP.

"http://www.mozilas.com/download/firefox8.htm" is not the real Mozilla website. And this page looks pretty shabby and poorly written too.
I'm pretty sure there is no "Gecko 8.0" either - Gecko has completely different version numbering than FF.

Plus...if 8.0 is out when why does my 7.01 say it's the latest version? (I just doublechecked.)

    Beware... this smells like malware.

Yeah, so.. erm... see below. LOL.

    Oh, man.

Just hours earlier someone posted a link from a non-Mozilla site that reeked of malware...I checked manually for updates in my Firefox 7.0.1 and got nothing. Pretty much spoke my mind about it too.

    And now, it's actually here.

Fixed the link to the REAL Mozilla.....you may be right, didn't pay close enough attention when I posted the link....it was late and I was in a hurry after upgrading all my other pc's and converting my main x64 desktop to x64 nightly. The x64 information is correct however, Thanks for your assist.

Even though your 7.0.1 says it is the latest it WAS available last night....usually available 12-24 hours before official release, but you have to download it not just click the check for updates....it allows you to get a jump on the Millions of downloads when the upgrade link is activated which can be very frustrating waiting.

Thanks for not taking my first post personally and ripping my head off bobtran. :)

As it so happens, Firefox already updated itself on my laptop and I'll do it on my desktop right after browsing the forums.

Ditto. Really, I never had issues with any version of FF since 3.5.
