No need to restart your PC , right click on the Task bar & select start Task Manager > select the processes tab > locate Firefox & right click end process.
As stve sad, process that is created by Firefox firefox.exe is already running on your pc and you need to kill it.
Thanks so much. I wonder why that is doing that now, it never did that before.
I already have the newest firefox. My whole computer is slow and weird - I am sick of it!!!! It has gotten worse since I installed Office 2010
How much free space have you got on your system Hard Drive (normally C:\ ) ?
If there is no room for a Pagefile your PC will slow to a crawl.
Having too many programs set to run when your PC starts can be a drag on system resources.
Goto Start & type system into the search field , open System Configuration & select the startup tab & disable the ones you don't need.
I recommend CCleaner for reclaiming hard drive space Download CCleaner 3.12.1572 - FileHippo.com its free & I've used it for years & never had any problems with it.
I have 247 gb free on my hard drive. I have gone to msconfig and onlly have 4 programs running. Two intel and malwarebytes and avast. I do use cCleaner and their registry too sometimes. I have been told by many to stay away from registry cleaning.
