Anyone else having problems with IE 8

I went and downloaded IE 9, I didnt like it at all. I went back to IE 8 last week. The last few days it has been real slow, and alot of times when it finally does open a page it says IE cannot show this page or something like that. So, I downloaded Google Chrome, and its alot fastr and actually works great, BUT, Im wondering if there can be a problem with my PC itself for IE to respond so slow or not at all, and Google chrome just isnt picking up on it, or should I stick with the Google chrome. Any suggestions would be appreciated Thanks Sandie

If you are looking for opinion, I like IE9 best, but it sounds like you do not. It is a lot different, but once you get used to it, it is a lot sleeker, quicker, and safer than other IE browsers.

If you are worried about security, use your antivirus software (don't have one, download MSE FREE recommended). Update it first, then run a full scan. Also, Malwarebytes can be run with MSE (Microsoft Security Essentials) and it will further help ensure you are virus free.

Personally, I get on well with IE9 and find it better than IE8. Also it is a more secure platform.

What didn't you like about IE9? If you give us some idea, we can perhaps help out with configuring it for you.

You might want to check this version of IE9, which is optimised for MSN and Bing.

    Sandie,
    * If you are happy with Google Chrome continue to use it.

I "Reset" IE, and it seems to be working alot better (faster) and I havent got the message IE needs to close, but I have only been online for an hour or so. I didnt even know you could reset IE, I know with my Paint SHop Pro at times it gets slow and I reset it, and it works great. Thanks everyone for your help, Im not completely ignorant when it comes to computer fixes, but am happy to learn at least 1 new thing a day. I even went out and bought Windows 7 for Dummies, and it honestly has been a huge help! Again TY. Sandie

    Sandie,
I am using Google Chrome and have had no issue's with it.
The speed you may see or not see is not that noticeable. IMHO
