Can not install W L Mail 2011 - Error code: 0x80070663 source: writer

    Hi guys,
    I am back.
I have previously posted an issue with WL Mail 2011 (can not create, reply or forward message).
I am still struggling with it, and using WLE 2009 (Mail works smoothly with this version).
Now I got new information concerning the problem:
Before installing WLE 2011, I ran Windows Install Clean up, to clean all installers related to WLE 2011. All but Windows Live Writer are removed, and when I try to install WLE 2011, I get the message that it was not possible to install WL Mail (Messenger is OK).
Opening the message dialog box these are the details of the failed installation:

    Problem Signature:
    Problem Event Name: WLSetupError
    AppName: WLInstaller
    AppVer: 15.4.3538.0513
    AppExitCode: 0x80040691
    AppLanguage: pt
    OS: 6.1.7601sp1.0x86-Wrk-1(1046;1046;pt-BR)Win7
    ErrorType: 1
    ErrorSource: PackageInstallTask
    SuspectedError: 0x80070663
    FailedApp: writer
    Operating System version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.768.3
    Language ID: 1046

Do you have any idea how to solve this?
Otherwise I will keep WLE 2009, until Windows 7 Home Premium SP 2 shows up, and will take the opportunity to do a clean install of Windows 7.

Hello, you can try this MS tool to uninstall/install. Suggest a system image backup in case anything goes wrong, you can restore back to the working image.

Thanks for the help, A Guy.

Tried the Fixit version for Install / Uninstall, as suggested.
Still have the same problem. After removing/reparing WL Essentials, when installing again, Messenger is installed, but Mail is not. Error code: 080070663 still pointed as cause for that.
So far, it seems that formatting will be the final solution, when SP2 shows up (mid 2012).
For the time being, WLE 2009 will save the day.
I have added the suggested software to my Utilities library. It seems quite useful.
