Ask for opinions sure!
Remember opinions are not always based on logic.
IMHO tis far better to do your own research re the "facts /statistics/ evidence tested" & presented
> view any Browser that might appeal
> read the Company blurb about the product
> then make up your own mind about what is considered appropriate.... or otherwise.

If you like IE-9 go with it. It is a very good secure browser. I have always used FF because I like the add-ons and is what I am use to using. Can't go wrong with either one.

I'm a Firefox user by choice, but IE has shaped up very nicely with the current IE9. Properly configured, it's a great browser to use - so just roll with it. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom-built OS Windows 7 Professional SP1 32-bit CPU Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 2.4GHz, overclocked to 2.7GHz Motherboard Asus PL5D2 Memory 4GB DDR2-667 (4x1GB in dual-channel config) Graphics Card nVidia GeForce 9800 GT Sound Card Creative X-Fi XtremeMusic Monitor(s) Displays Acer Screen Resolution 1920x1200 (DVI) Keyboard Standard Mouse Microsoft wireless optical mouse PSU Antec TruePower 2.0 Case Cooler Master Centurion Cooling various fans Hard Drives OCZ SSD Vertex Plus 60GB SATA (Firmware 3.55), 64MB cache

One of the few things I dislike about IE is the lack of skins. It's the same old skin. With FF and Chrome, you can change the look when you get bored looking at the same real estate. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number DELLXPS 8300 OS WIN7 x64 Home Premium SP1 CPU Intel Core i5-2400 processor(6MB Cache, 3.1GHz) Memory 8 GB RAM Hard Drives 1.5TB C Drive |

Each one will have its supporters and detractors.
Me, I like Firefox. But I wouldn't presume to tell someone it's better than the rest. It just happens that when I got a computer again, three years ago, after years without one, I found out that the old Netscape Navigator I remembered from the past was outdated...and the family expert recommended Firefox, and I took the recommendation.....I stick with it now because it is familiar. | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. My personal opinion the default IE 9 & Firefox are about the same but Firefox has more potential to be improved by customizing it.
If you take advantage of Firefox's many extensions its better. | My System Specs | | OS Windows 7 64 bit CPU Intel Core i7 920 overclocked to 4.252Ghz Motherboard ASUSTeK Computer INC.
