    Google Chrome will not install....

A few days ago I uninstalled Google chrome after getting several messages of excessive use of processor.. I completeley (manually) cleaned my pc of any traces of the chrome files left behind.... I cleaned every trace of it of my registry with a registry cleaning tool. I intended to re-install it completely fresh with the hopes of getting a good working browser, thinking that I might have messed with the settings and caused the problem myself....

Now my HUGE PROBLEM is I just can NOT install Chrome back on my pc.... lol

I have tried the direct download approach (directly from google) and also tried the alternative (standalone) download as suggested in several google sites, to know avail.... What on earth is wrong? has anyone else here experienced this...?????

    Help!!!!

If this were my pc I would do a system restore to before chrome was uninstalled. And then uninstall chrome via programme and features> uninstall programmes, and reboot. Then try and reinstall chrome. If it does not work you can always undo the system restore to be back where you are now. Registry cleaners can cause a lot of problems if you're not careful. Like I said this is only what I would do.

Have you tried using REVO to uninstall your programs with the left over crappy reg files.. Try a reg cleaner to clean your old reg files and such.

Thanks to all of you that helped out..... as it turns out my problem had to do with my internet connection... there was a glitch in my service which was causing my pc to be extremely sluggish.... I'm almost certain google download was not the problem.....
