Windows 7: jpg's missing in Thunderbird

Something bad has happened within the last week or so with Thunderbird: The jpg's and other graphics are missing from many websites and even when I'm trying to place an order -- nothing happens when I click on Checkout. I can't even place some orders since there is no working link to the Checkout, for example. I just got an email where there is "jpg" text but no icon. I hope the attachment comes out OK for you to see what I'm experiencing. I can't access coupons on this site; the jpg's are dead. I couldn't even place an order for free shippping on one site.
