Have you ever had a clean reinstall on this PC? This solves almost all of these issues.
A reason I ask is that you are so engaged with your computer and it's performance issues that you should consider advancing to the stage where you gain much more control over it - by learning to clean reinstall, obtain a perfect reinstall, then back it up with an image you can easily restore in 20 minutes if it becomes irreparable or irreparably sluggish.
Trying to obtain Windows 7's native instantaneous, feather-light state is often not possible with all of the preinstalled crapware and useless factory utilities which have much better versions built into Windows 7 - even and especially sometimes when you've uninstalled all of it. Going completely clean unshackles Windows 7 to be itself without the encumbrance.
In deciding if this is the course you want to follow, you'll have to let go of scaredy-cat worries about "ruining" your OS, as you are literally constructing it from new and will learn to have the control you desire. You can take a Windows 7 backup image now so that at any time you can go back. We will also be here to help you all the way. It will actually be easier for us to help you since we know that going completely clean will solve all these issues from the outset, as long as you get and keep a tight grip on what you allow to be installed in the future. It was running so good yesterday though. I don't trust myself to do a clean install, plus the fact I think it would be so frustrating to reinstall everything all over. I have an anxiety disorder and just don't think I can do this. I did do a repair install, but don't think I noticed much difference. You said I was so engaged with my computer, should I just leave it since it is working, just a little slow? | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Vostro 220 Mini Tower Desktop Details | Dell OS Windows 7 Home Premium SP 1, 32-bit CPU Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E7400 @ 2.80GHz Motherboard Dell Inc. 0P301D Memory 3.00 GB Graphics Card (1) Intel(R) G45/G43 Express Chipset (2) Intel(R) G45/G43 Sound Card (1) High Definition Audio Device (2) High Definition Audio Monitor(s) Displays Dell 22" wide E228WFP Analog flat panelq Mouse Dell optical usb mouse vostro Other Info OPTICAL READER, MOUSE,SPEAKERS, MONITOR, MODEM |

Can't imagine why your internet is slow. Perhaps it is because of constant internet temp folder deleting along with cookies, etc? DO you have your computer set to automatically delete these on exit, or have you checked the boxes to delete certain internet files? This is what mine looks like, and yours may be similar:
You will not want to have those boxes checked
BUT, if everything is working, it should be fine if you cannot find these settings. Its just a guess what is causing the delay. Glad we got it going for ya though! happy surfing. Mine doesn't look like yours. I go to Tools > recent history and I don't have the option of when to clear it out. But I do have everything checked to clean out, including cookies, temp files and history. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Vostro 220 Mini Tower Desktop Details | Dell OS Windows 7 Home Premium SP 1, 32-bit CPU Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E7400 @ 2.80GHz Motherboard Dell Inc. 0P301D Memory 3.00 GB Graphics Card (1) Intel(R) G45/G43 Express Chipset (2) Intel(R) G45/G43 Sound Card (1) High Definition Audio Device (2) High Definition Audio Monitor(s) Displays Dell 22" wide E228WFP Analog flat panelq Mouse Dell optical usb mouse vostro Other Info OPTICAL READER, MOUSE,SPEAKERS, MONITOR, MODEM |

UNcheck them and click okay, as that checking them was only supposed to be temporary. That way, web pages can load faster as it isn't deleting them all the time | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number Dell Inspiron M5040 OS Windows 8 Pro with Media Center x64 CPU AMD E-450 APU 1.65 GHz Memory 4GB Graphics Card Built-in Radeon HD 6320 Graphics Screen Resolution 1366 x 768 Mouse Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 3500 Cooling fan Hard Drives 500GB Internet Speed 2.86Mbps Download Speed, 2.85Mbps Upload Speed & 26ms Ping Antivirus Defender Browser IE10 |
