Hi - I cannot get Windows explorer to work, the little circle just keeps going around forever. I can get on email and that is all. Did I maybe delete too much? Thanks.

    Hi Patti,

No, you didn't delete too much. Do you mean Windows Internet Explorer? You didn't delete anything to do with Internet Explorer. Are you using this instead of firefox now?

Click this link and download the Microsoft fix tool to automatically fix it (if it can): http://go.microsoft.com/?linkid=9646978 (from Capt. Jack's tutorial).

Let me know if you still are having problems, and how its going with all of the fixes I've sent your way.

I don't know what the message said now. But when I go to open my Microsoft Excel it takes about 1 minute, but does finally open. I don't know what I was saying yesterday. I am still using ff.

Ok, Mr Fix it just kind of froze, didn't do anything. So I won't pursue it until I hear from you. I am not getting email notifications from this thread, so I will keep checking back. Thanks.

YOu can get to Yahoo mail okay?

Does internet explorer work, or is it still messing up?

Not sure I know any fixes for Excel, just keep your computer updated and don't install anything unless you know what it is.

Other than Excel, are you still having problems anywhere? Microsoft Word works fine?

I can get to Yahoo mail and all the other website fine now. After I reinstalled then uninstall xosftspy everything cleared up.
Are you the one that helped me get rid of usb not recognized in the right hand corner. After I put a media card reader in the usb and then took it out, it has been giving me the error, I know someone gave me a quick fix, but I looked through all the posts I could find and didn't find it. Something about do something before you remove the device. I have put the device back in - went to removal of device - but it didn't work. Wish I could find who helped me.

Hey Patti, glad most of your problems are fixed for now.

You might try plugging the card in, keep it there during a restart, and after you get back into your account, see if this button shows up after you click it located in the far bottom right corner of your screen:
    Mozilla Firefox errors-1.jpg

If it does show up, click it, and click safely remove USB or whatever it says for the media reader, but make sure it is the media reader. Let me know if this works.

Every time, you have to safely remove it in this way.

It didn't work, I still get that error. It only showed one removable device when I clicked on that icon. It makes me mad I can't remember what I was told. I usually write everything down and save it, but can't find this one. It was an easy fix too.

It said it was okay to remove usb mass media storage, so I assume it was the media reader
