Mozilla Firefox errors I am having problems with my firefox. It keeps logging me off and I have to log on again and it gives me these errors:
firefox can't find the server at us.data.toolbar.yahoo.com.
Sometimes it gives me the error adobe Flash plugin has crashed.
When I go under about firefox, it says I have version 8.0.
I was on a Mozilla Firefox forum and they say my useragent doesn't show that I have that version and to go in and change it? I didn't have a clue what they were talking about.
I was told to try this forum. Can you help? Thanks. | My System Specs |

yes, I have 8.0. My daughter uses google chrome and people on the Mozilla FF forum are saying to use Chrome. I don't know what to do. That is going to come with its share of problems. I already have it on my computer and I clicked on it and it said something about couldn't use because of wrong profile. I'm thinking - I'm sick of this. Just get this thing to work. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Vostro 220 Mini Tower Desktop Details | Dell OS Windows 7 Home Premium SP 1, 32-bit CPU Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E7400 @ 2.80GHz Motherboard Dell Inc. 0P301D Memory 3.00 GB Graphics Card (1) Intel(R) G45/G43 Express Chipset (2) Intel(R) G45/G43 Sound Card (1) High Definition Audio Device (2) High Definition Audio Monitor(s) Displays Dell 22" wide E228WFP Analog flat panelq Mouse Dell optical usb mouse vostro Other Info OPTICAL READER, MOUSE,SPEAKERS, MONITOR, MODEM |

do you have any addons or extensions installed in firefox? about the yahoo toolbar, do you use it? if not, please uninstall it. what antivirus are you using? Does chrome work fine or does it give the same errors too? I'd suggest to see what and where is the problem with firefox first then, decide whether you want to start using chrome or not. | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number Self assembled OS Windows 7 Home Edition 64 Bit CPU Intel Pentium(R) E5200 @ 2.50GHz Motherboard Intel Corporation DG41WV (PROCESSOR) Memory 4096 MBytes Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 398MHz Graphics Card ATI Radeon HD 5450 (ASUStek Computer Inc) Sound Card Realtek High Definition Audio Monitor(s) Displays DELL E170S on ATI Radeon HD 5450 Screen Resolution 1280x1024 pixels Keyboard Logitech PS/2 Keyboard Mouse A4 Tech Co Ltd/Logitech PSU 400W Case Nothing Fancy Cooling Fans Hard Drives 466GB Western Digital WDC Internet Speed 512 Kbps Antivirus Microsoft Security Essentials & Malwarebytes Browser Chrome & Internet Explorer 9 Other Info Imation 8 GB USB, 6 GB Seagate External Hard drive, ASUS DVD-E818A7T ATA Device |

Patti: Uninstall the existing flash player from add/remove programs, download and install fresh the latest version from here: Adobe - Downloads . Do the same with Mozilla FF and download the latest version from here: Mozilla Firefox Web Browser. Also uninstall the program JAVA (if you have it). Remember to tick mark the option where it asks you if you want to remove the extension/add on. Run cCleaner, tick mark all the points under Mozilla FF and Multimedia (see pic attached - it will be tick marked by default). Delete any chunks left inside you Computer/C: Drive/Program files/Mozilla Firefox. Restart, now with a clean install of both, browse and do the usual stuff you do with your browser and report back. You could try creating a new user account with administrator rights here: User Account - Create and let us know if you notice any changes.

I am down to reinstalling cCleaner and it won't let me unless I download Chrome. I already uninstalled Chrome, didn't want two browsers on there to conflict. So what should I do. I have down everything down to that point. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Vostro 220 Mini Tower Desktop Details | Dell OS Windows 7 Home Premium SP 1, 32-bit CPU Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E7400 @ 2.80GHz Motherboard Dell Inc. 0P301D Memory 3.00 GB Graphics Card (1) Intel(R) G45/G43 Express Chipset (2) Intel(R) G45/G43 Sound Card (1) High Definition Audio Device (2) High Definition Audio Monitor(s) Displays Dell 22" wide E228WFP Analog flat panelq Mouse Dell optical usb mouse vostro Other Info OPTICAL READER, MOUSE,SPEAKERS, MONITOR, MODEM Mozilla Firefox errors problems?
