Firefox Plugins folder

Hi all,
does anyone know where the plugins folder is located in the current version (8) of firefox? Note I'm not asking for the extensions folder, but plugins. In particular I want to find where the acrobat plugin is located.

Plugins should be found in C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\plugins".

It is not there in my install of FF 8.0 for some reason

The plugin is nppdf32.dll , so look for that on your computer.

That's the directory I'm checking. I just did a fresh test install of FF 8.01 on a virtual machine (also running windows 7 home premium 64-bit) and no plugins folder was created at that location.

ok thanks. The question is how do I get windows to be able to do that search? Searching in the start-menu gives nothing. Yet I know there is a copy of that file in the Adobe Reader folder in:

ok I managed to solve the problem. Got search to work by fiddling with the search options (the default search set-up of windows 7 is awful).

Anyway it seems that latest incarnations of firefox do not have a plugin directory per se (at least not one that I could find). I have both adobe acrobat and reader installed, and I wanted to remove the acrobat plugin so that it would use the reader plugin in the browser as default (For some reason if I tried "disabling" the acrobat plugin, it would stop the reader plugin working too and I wouldn't be able to open pdfs in a browser at all).

As suggested I searched for nppdf32.dll and found 3 instances in the adobe acrobat directory. I promptly renamed them to nppdf32.bak. The plugin was then automatically removed from firefox (again hinting that there is no plugin directory per se any more).

P.s. Does any one know of any good guides to setting up search on Windows 7? That is not something that I'm 100% happy with right now.
