    How do I get rid of Babylon ?


    Hi.

    I have issue with Babylon. How do I get rid of it?.

    It's placed here:

    you may try the easiest way that is uninstalling it from add/remove programs.and the 3rd and 4th steps by me on this thread Can't Remove Ask.com search program. may help you do that :). in case it doesn't, please post back.

    Sorry, I didn't mentioned, that Babylon is not visible in add/remove.
    The Babylon string here persist in InternetExplorer->Tools->InternetOptions, and
    will not get removed.

    Se the string here:

    just click "use blank" and apply :)

    I tried this too, but to no avail.

    The string appear imediately again

    you mean it sets it self back again? thats weird.
    what antivirus do you use? also, when did you install babylon toolbar? or it got installed with another program?

    Yes, that is what I mean.

    I used Security Essential.

    I'm not sure where Babylon got installed

    hi again, thanks for the screenshot. i see there's no babylon installed there.
    i'm posting a step by step screen shot sequence for you. this is for internet explorer if you want,
    i will post the same for mozilla too :)

    • go to tools>internet options>click on use blank>apply>ok


    • go to tools>internet options again and on search click>settings>first apply default to either google or bing (whichever you have)


    • then select babylon & just remove it
