Screen remnants Firefox 9.0.1 I notice in Firefox 9.0.1 on both a laptop and a desktop that closing Firefox leaves remnant stuff (see photo) above the taskbar. The remnants appear after opening and then closing the bookmarks list.
Pressing WindowsKey-D to redraw the desktop clears it. Nevertheless is this a Windows 7 issue or a Firefox issue? Anyone else having this problem? How is this solved?
BTW, my graphics card is up to date.
Thanks. | My System Specs |

Hmmm. I tried to uninstall it, but I couldn't. I'm clicking on "uninstall" in Control Panel's "Programs and Features," and nothing happens. I then tried to run helper.exe, and that also didn't work (nothing happens).
Also, I see in the programs listing that version 3.6.8 is listed, but not 9.0.1, which I recently installed and am currently running. Did 9.0.1 install over 3.6.8? Shouldn't both be listed? And since I'm running 9.0.1, where the heck is it? | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number Dell Studio XPS 8100 OS Windows 7 Home Premium x64 SP 1 CPU Intel Core i7 860 @ 2.8 GHz Motherboard Dell 0T568R (CPU1) Memory 8.0 GB Dual Channel DDR3 @ 664 MHz (9-9-9-24) Graphics Card nVidia GeForce GTS 240 Sound Card M-Audio Delta Audiophile 2496 Monitor(s) Displays Dell 2407WFP Screen Resolution 1920x1200 Hard Drives 977 GB Western Digital WDC WD1001FAES-75W7A0 (SCSI) Antivirus MSE, MalwareBytes Anti-Malware Browser Firefox Other Info Microsoft Security Essentials, Mozilla Firefox, Mozilla Thunderbird. download and install ccleaner CCleaner - Optimization and Cleaning - Free Download go to tools>uninstall and check if FF is listed there. if it is, uninstall it and post back. | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop OS Windows® 7 Home Premium SP-1 CPU Intel Pentium(R) E5200 @ 2.50GHz Motherboard Intel Corporation DG41WV (PROCESSOR) Memory 4096 MBytes Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 398MHz Graphics Card ATI Radeon HD 5450 (ASUStek Computer Inc) Sound Card Realtek High Definition Audio Monitor(s) Displays DELL E170S on ATI Radeon HD 5450 Screen Resolution 1280x1024 pixels Keyboard Logitech PS/2 Keyboard Mouse A4 Tech Co Ltd/Logitech PSU 400W Case Nothing Fancy Cooling Fans Hard Drives 466GB Western Digital WDC Internet Speed 512 Kbps Antivirus Microsoft Security Essentials & Malwarebytes Browser Chrome & Internet Explorer 9 Other Info Imation 8 GB USB, 6 GB Seagate External Hard drive, ASUS DVD-E818A7T ATA Device |

Well, I downloaded "Firefox Setup 9.0.1.exe" and re-installed it. It's listed correctly now in "Programs and Features," version 3.6.8 is gone, and I then successfully uninstalled 9.0.1 and reinstalled it.
However, the screen remnants are still there!
Any suggestions?
BTW, thanks, koolkat77, for sticking with me on this. | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number Dell Studio XPS 8100 OS Windows 7 Home Premium x64 SP 1 CPU Intel Core i7 860 @ 2.8 GHz Motherboard Dell 0T568R (CPU1) Memory 8.0 GB Dual Channel DDR3 @ 664 MHz (9-9-9-24) Graphics Card nVidia GeForce GTS 240 Sound Card M-Audio Delta Audiophile 2496 Monitor(s) Displays Dell 2407WFP Screen Resolution 1920x1200 Hard Drives 977 GB Western Digital WDC WD1001FAES-75W7A0 (SCSI) Antivirus MSE, MalwareBytes Anti-Malware Browser Firefox Other Info Microsoft Security Essentials, Mozilla Firefox, Mozilla Thunderbird.
