    Videos Not Working

    Hi,

My problem is that whenever i try to play a video on facebook or youtube or on any other website the video does not work. The video just displays green color and i can only hear the audio and after few seconds the browser not responds and i have to close it from the processes menu. This problem is on all the browsers for ex : chrome, ie, firefox, opera, safari etc. My all the drivers are up to date, even the flash player is the latest one. The flash player files are in the control panel and i have reinstalled it several times, still its not working. Please help.

Sounds like a codec problem. If you have no other codec packs installed or are prepared to uninstall them give Sharks codec pack a go.

    Have a read here.

not sure codecs have anything to do with watching videos online ,it definately sounds like a flash issue,

Oh OK. I have had the green background before but it was nothing to do with being online.

After installing the shark codecs and configuring them the status of the videos is same.

Seeing as you have installed the codecs run them as 'administrator'. Right click on the shark icon/run as admin.

Check 'use recommended settings' or similar.

    Just came across this:

    1. Open your Web browser and head to YouTube. 2. Choose any random video (or the one you're actually trying to watch).
    3. Right-click anywhere in the video window, then click Settings.
    4. Clear the checkbox next to Enable hardware acceleration, then click Close.

    See how that goes.
