win7/firefox issue

Really stumped on this one. I've been using FireFox on my PC for a while and recently upgraded to v9.0.1

Ever since then I've found my cursor hanging up and I get the "Ta-dum" sound as well.

Before I ditch my browser is there anyway to find out what the heck is causing this problem?

Is there a conflict between Windows 7 and firefox that I'm not aware of?

I haven't had any problems with FF 9.0.1 on Windows 7 Ultimate (64-bit).

Have you looked in the "Event Viewer"?

Are you using a wired mouse?
If so, is the cable and socket/plug in good condition and securely seated?

Have you tried reinstalling FF?

Hi FrankZ,
Clean your mouse, & check battery if wireless.

Wired mouse optical wheel mouse.

I'm not familiar with the event viewer and wouldn't know where to start.

I've removed all of them and still have the same problem.

I should just abandon ship and climb on into the Google Chrome Dingy....

I have the same problem with FF 6 but not 9.0.1. Does IE work OK?

I bet you, its flash...I've been having this problem on and off every so often. Opening Task Manager and killing "plugin-container.exe" seems to help revive Firefox from its hang up.
