    Google Chrome Installation Location

    Hello All:

Chrome installs to my C (system) drive and that's not what I want.

How do I force Chrome to install to the drive of my choice?

Also, how do I control where Chrome stores its Cache Files- I want them on a RAMDrive like my other browsers.

    TIA

Get a portable version....it stores everything in a sub folder of the folder you unpack it to

    I got mine from here:

because it comes with an updater that lets you switch between Dev, Beta, Official and Chromium releases.
It's in German but you can set it to any supported language in the options.

I like that version the best because of the updater and because of the fact that most (if not all) tweaks to counteract Google's data mining habits are already applied.
If you have trouble to get through the german menus at first just let me know and I'll talk you through to the point where you change the language
