Browser Home Page Changes I installed and used Iolo System Mechanic several months ago. When it updated earlier this week, I noticed my browser home page changed from My MSN.com to MSN.com. I went to Tools>Internet Options and re-entered the My MSN info>Apply. Nothing happened and I still had MSN as the browser. After several other attemps, I uninstalled System Mechanic. The switch back to My MSN was easy and went off without a hitch. I did these actions this morning, restarting several time and all was okay.
When I got home this afternoon, I booted up the computer and the MSN web browser is back. I changed it as stated above and, for now, it's okay. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? I want to keep My MSN as my only browser.
Thanks,
Mike

Browser Home Page Changes Thanks for the fast reply. I went to Manage Ad-Ons and, I must admit, I really don't know what to look for. I know, I know, I'm a dufus!

Lastpass items and Jixey seem oddities...
To give you a comparison of how much bloat you're running I'm including a screenshot of my own...
You'll just have to assess what you need, and what's trusted, or what isn't... | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom built machine OS W7 x64 CPU Intel Q9300 2.5Ghz Quad LGA775 (Would like Q9650) Motherboard Gigabyte GA-EP45T-UD3R (F6 Bios) Memory 4Gb OCZ Gold 1,333Mhz Graphics Card Palit HD4850 O/C Sonic 512Mb DDR3, Dual DViD's Sound Card Azalia to twin Samson 50w Studio Monitors Monitor(s) Displays Twin Dell (E-IPS) U2311H 23.6" Screens Screen Resolution 1920 x 1080 @ 60Hz Keyboard Cherry PS/2 custom model Mouse Lenovo USB laser "Thinkpad" Mouse PSU OCZ 600w Case Lian-Li PC8 acoustifoamed' aluminium tower Cooling Scythe 140mm Zipang Hard Drives Crucial M4 SSD, archives on twin Western Digital Caviar Black WD2002FAEX, 2TB, 7200rpm HDD's, Samsung Ritemaster CD/DVD Burner... Browser Home Page Changes Wow. Okay, I'll start disabling some/most of the "bloat." If things get funky, I guess I can go back an enable what's needed.
Thank you very much!

Browser Home Page Changes Well, heck, things were going fairly well but the switch from My MSN.com to MSN.com continues. It doesn't happen as frequently but the switch was made three times yesterday and again this morning.
Does anyone have any idea what I need to do next? Thanks for your consideration.
