    Cannot close internet explorer

    Afternoon all,

My friend and I are engaged in a prank war on each others computers at the moment, and I am ashamed to admit I can't figure out how he did this one so I need a bit of help!

I cannot close internet explorer or any tabs. I am pretty sure its to do with the permissions, and I changed them in the security tab you can get to the properties, I even took ownership of the program and I tried running it as administrator but still no dice.

Could it be something in the registry changed?

    Thanks all,
    StubbyHS

are you sure what you see on the screen is actually internet explorer?

has he just modified your wallpaper to look as if IE is open?

can you actually move the window or minimise/maximise it?

    Hi all,

Sorry it's taken me so long to reply, I was working all last night.

Thanks but I figured it out, he created a new directory in the registry to disable to close buttons.

    Here's a pic:)

    Thanks all,
