Are dongles secure

I use the 3 dongle when away from home. Is this as secure as my usual router based connection at home, I use the Windows firewall and anti-virus protection. I was thinking mainly of banking online risks

As much as I know, Dongles are safe from man-in-the-middle attacks (unless your government is tapping you). And as long as you keep Windows, your antivirus program and other software updated, don't use non-compliant software and don't click on shadowey links and attachments you are a safe guy.
