    Windows Live Sign In error code 80048831


    For some reason I am getting this error code 80048831 when I attempt to use hotmail.

    Each time I sign into windows the MSN homepage appears as normal but when I attempt to sign in it takes me to get a new live id.

    Based on the error code you have provided, it seems that the password you are entering is an invalid one. May be it was hacked… or if your password has expired cannot be confirmed. I suggest you to contact the support team of Windows Live immediately since it might be something very serious.

    Thanks that worked fine and now all OK

    What still bugs me is why after using same password for 3 years it suddenly expired
