Windows 7 - IE 9 browser does not work connecting to internet

I had a previous thread about Firefox not installing. Along with that problem I mentioned IE9 is not connecting to the internet or the search function is not working.
When I open IE 9 the MSN web page is there. If I enter anything in the bing search box I get a page that says, "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage." I did the diagnose connection problems and nothing came up.
Can I uninstall 9 and go back to 8?

Good news, I uninstalled IE 9 and went back to 8. Works o.k, search connecting to internet using dogpile but Bing is not working. IE 8 works. IE9 does not work for me.

The chances are you have underlying problems that will not be solved by uninstalling IE9 and reinstalling IE8. It's significant too that Firefox wouldn't install.

Just read your previous post. IE9 is far safer than IE8 so I still think you should read through the article and give IE9 another chance. Giving up is the easy option.
