Staying Logged In For Site Future Visits ?

Hello,

The LogIn page for Google, and many other sites, have a checkbox for
staying "Logged In" for future visits (without having to enter the UserName and Password again and again).

I have these boxes checked, but None of them ever work; not a single one.

Is there something on my system that I have to configure differently, perhaps ?

Thanks,
B.
