Task Scheduler - Shut down IE9

I have a scheduled task that runs, using IE9.

In Windows 7 Pro, the scheduled task Action is - Start a Program -
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe"
and the argument is "What Is My IP Address - Shows Your IP Address".
It runs at the same time every night.

It starts a new session of IE9, runs to the URL, accomplishes that task, and stays on until morning, when I have to manually close it. Since it executes properly, the stop task commands under the Scheduler Settings tab have no effect.

How can I shut down just this scheduled task session of IE9 after it executes? I am guessing I am missing one more command line parameter. (Other Internet suggestions include Taskkill, but that shuts down all IE sessions. Since I might have been working on issues when I go to sleep, shutting them down also doesn't work out for me.)

That was a great idea, thanks. It worked great with my test site (whatsmyip.com) but when I went to my company site, which is set up to close the window automatically in 30 seconds, my browser pops up a window asking for permission to close the window. Waiting for user input stops everything in its place.


Your suggestion, though, gave me the idea to use a browser other than IE, to see if that would resolve my dilemma, and it did! I reach the website, through the Task Scheduler, with Firefox, and close Firefox with Taskkill 5 minutes later. It works great!
