    Issue with IE9 closing frequently

Have been for the last three days have had IE shut down giving a message that it has stopped working and has to run an error test that doesn't come up with anything.

Happens mostly in Ebay if that is of any help?

IE problems, I know them well. You could try resetting through Tools>Internet Options>Advanced, or even uninstalling/reinstalling. Which depending if IE9 came with your machine is done in a different way than a typical program.

I read today that IE had it's biggest drop in share. It's down to just over 52%. When it drops below 50% I am moving on (or maybe sooner). Good luck.

Thanks bru I did find a malware on board with a Malwarebytes scan - that a Google had mentioned was associated with this prob -PUP.Bundleinstaller.OI however mine was .Somoto not OI still have removed it and crossing fingers have not had a glitch since. But at the first hint of problems I am going to do what you suggest - the uninstall one.:)

If IE is crashing, it's an add-on. It always is. However, if uninstalling it works for you, then that's a viable resolution, but whatever caused the issue might still be on the box. I usually like to fix things first, then decide whether or not it's worth switching browsers (again - it's not like moving to Firefox or Chrome, or even Opera is a panacea for stability issues, as they all have their own quirks).

Good luck to you though .

Thanks cluberti yeah mate it left me with IE8 after I uniinstalled it but the only way I cold get it back on was via a download to a stick form my other machine - it would not install on this one.

I have a SSD as my boot drive and a 1TB as a backup save spot so I am wondering if the IE's on it could be interfering?
