Hello Hrant,

Double check in Default Programs using the tutorial below to make sure that Internet Explorer is set as the default program for all of it's associations. Specifically the URL file extension. Afterwards, see if it will open in IE now.

Default Programs - Set a Program's Default Associations

Hope this helps,

Hrant,

Ok. The tutorial below may be able to add Internet Explorer back to Default Programs for you to then be able to do so..

Another way that might work for you.
Internet Explorer/internet options/programs/make default. Close I.E. and reopen and see if I.E. kept your settings.

Dear Shawn,

Sorry for bothering you again. I followed your second recommendation, unfortunately IE didn't come back to list of the default programs.

Thank you!

My desktop is 1600x1200 at 100% and I've played with the Clear Type options to get a readable font on file names, so it's not bad. But I'm just wondering what the default font is in Windows Explorer and if it can be changed (other than what I've already done). TIA mac
