Windows 7: Explanation of IE9 Autocomplete Settings

Hi folks,

I have been getting used to the functions of IE9's Autocomplete Settings. Obviously when Browsing History and Favourites are checked in AutoComplete Settings the results show underneath the URL bar, but when I check Use Windows Search for better results nothing happens. I assumed that files like documents and pictures that are on my hard drive would show up underneath the URL bar like when you use the Start Menu or Search Libraries. Can someone explain how it works?
