New laptop came with Google Chrome installed

    Hello,
I just bought a new Toshiba laptop and to my surprise, it came with Chrome installed. Of course I fired it up as I am a Chrome fan. I also set up IE 9 which comes with Windows 7 as you know. My wife likes IE. I started comparing the two browsers and found that IE loads and runs faster. I like it better than Chrome now. For one thing, I can't make Chrome zoom anywhere between 125 and 150. 130 would be perfect. I can do this in IE. I also installed FF. Don't like it anymore either. Whenever I get it the way I like, there is a new build and none of my extensions work for a while. What a pain. Anyone else like IE again?

if you add this add on to firefox then your add ons will work even when a new update is out, i have used it for a few years now and i think only two add ons wouldn't work. i am using the most up to date FF and have updated every time a new one comes out.

to answer your question , i cant stand IE , and i dont use chrome either.

Toshiba must have put Chrome on the system. They probably get money for that. But you are right, IE is the best.

Personally my preference is Firefox, and my secondary browser is Opera. I used IE9 for 2 days and can not stand it as it does not do what I want.

This extension can help you set custom zoom sizes on Chrome: ZoomAll

To resolve the speed, try updating drivers, clear history, cache, update flash/java, etc (or even updating Chrome).

CCleaner or Disk Cleanup can help do a portion of cleaning.

Since it is new, you could try checking for updates on Windows Update.

    Thanks, every one.
I'll try that addon for FF and I'll try Zoomall for Chrome. I guess all browsers have there good and bad points. When something does'nt work in FF or Chrome, I find that it will work in IE. I have also seen this work the other way around too. Go figure. lol

Tried ZoomAll. Works to remember all websites but no settings for zoom between 125 and 150. 125 too small and 150 too big.

    Strange, I can get Zoom Percentages 120, 130, 140, and 150.

In Chrome? I can't. It's not an option. How do you do it?
By the way, Simple Addblock works great in IE

Simply press the magnifier glass icon with a number, and either type in your own perecentage of your choice or press the - and + to increase the size.

As you can see I used 155%, it can be any number you want from 10 to 999 even something like 721.
