    What can I do for no-loading pages

    Hello all;

    My ASUS U50F laptop won't load homepage or website pages, often, and blames internet connection most of the time. Other times I'm downloading and computer states 'can't finish this since it "timed out"!

    (hope I haven't broken too many guidelines here just yet! ;O)

    Thanks.

    hi,

    Do you get this with all browsers ? do you use an internet security suite ? (eg Norton,Kasparski,Panda,Mcafee and similar) if you use one turn it of if the problem disappaers you now know the problem cause.

    by the way a psu is short for "power supply unit"

    Hello Erikbe: Thanks for the psu info'. Sounds simple when you say it. ;O)
    I don't use anything but IE 8 and a free antivirus called AVG.

    Had Pest Patrol but turned it off and that made no difference. I'll try with AVG off and see what happens.
    I'm also trying to REload IE8, thinking something may have "slipped" in that but the download keeps "timing out". (is this the "I can't seem to win for losin' " thing)

    Thanks and stay tuned please.
    Michael.
