"Attempted default search change" in Chrome

I'm having an issue with Chrome that is really bothering me.
From what i think is this could be some new feature in the latest version of Chrome.
Problem is, I'm in Vietnam and so the default Google search engine would be Google.com.vn. Me preferring English, I changed the default engine to search English results. The problem occurs when i close Chrome and clear browsing data or run CCleaner, upon opening Chrome again i get this View image: Attempted default search change

Anyone know how to fix and why this happens?

Yes I get the same thing on two machines. Whenever I run CCleaner that message is the first to show when I open Chrome again. And by the looks of it about 14k have the same issue as that many so far have "Liked" it on Facebook.

So i guess its a problem in the latest versions of Chrome then?
I've just installed a previous version, the last of the 18. It seems good so far without changing the default search engine. it actually keeps my settings for the extensions as well where the current one deletes them all.
