    Safari is wont run

    Hi

I have just re-installed Apple's Safari browser, from here
Apple - Safari - Download the world
and I cant get it to run. It appears to install and then when I run it I get "Safari has stopped working" and "A problem has cause the program to stop working correctly/ Windows will close the programe an notify you if a solution is available [Close Program]"

    WTF?

    Any suggestions?

    J

    P.S. Background
I am running Windows 7 Pro (64bit). I had Safari running correctly until a few days ago. :^[

Sounds like natural selection. Kidding (only sort of). IMO, Safari just isn't meant for Windows and I've found it is poorly ported over. I was never impressed with it.

To directly answer your question, can you think of anything that changed on the system or that you installed around the time Safari stopped working? What do you surmise caused it? Are you running Antivirus?

Nothing much has changed to my knowledge...

    > Are you running Antivirus?
Yes Microsoft Security Essentials (just that)

What was the cause for the reinstall of it (was it because it randomly stopped working)? You might try a system restore to the time Safari was working properly.

    Yes

Too late for that because I have now done other things to the installation that I dont want to lose.

I tried re-installing Safari from scratch AGAIN, but bl*ddy irritatingly it simply won't run. (All I get is "Safari has stoppped working" and a button "Close program". I am running Windows7 x64. Bl**dy Apple! It's almost the only thing that I have even failed to get to run.

Maybe try uninstalling it with Revo Uninstaller in case anything is being left behind preventing a clean reinstall.

Try again. First remove you previous version of Safari ( uninstall). Now go to “Apple website” and download the latest version of Safari. If again it is troubling, May be you pc is not manufactured for Safari. Apple Safari is originally for Apple pc’s.
