    Download/Save all attachments at once?

    G'day,

I'm trying to help a friend sort out his digital life. He has several hundred emails in his gmail account, and each of these has an attachment (usually its a .PDF file).

Does anyone know of a technique/3rd party tool/scipt that will allow him to downlaod/save the attachments in one hit, as opposed to doing it one email/attachment at a time?

At the moment he is reading his email directly from IE9 browser, but we can use Outlook2010 and ThunderBird as an email client if required.

    Thanks,
    Golden

OK. I've had a bit of a hunt and have found the two options listed here:

How To Extract & Download Multiple Email Attachments In Bulk

I'll give it a crack and report back.

I managed to find a solution, and decided to write it up as a tutorial in case someone has similar issues.
