    Sending mail


    Hi
    I have Microsoft outlook 2007 and my mail is hanging up in the outbox sometimes for a brief second sometimes longer, this has only just started, have increased time out and have removed some Symantec scanning as they don`t support encrypted SSL also been getting x800CCC0F any ideas. Have spoken with ISP (Virgin) b - - - - y useless

    You might want to look into Account Settings to make sure you have everything setup right. I was having a problem such as that. In my settings I had a dot in one place where it should have a dash. Not sure if that's what's causing your problem, but one little error in the Settings would cause a problem.

    Hi

    Have just noticed that mail that stays in outbox then drag a dropped to inbox and then forwarded to original recepient goes straight away? any ideas would be more than welcome

    It's been quite a while since I've used Outlook, but I looked around. Two things caught my attention.

    • Security settings: (SSL 2,3 / TLS 1,1.1,1.2).
      Don't know default or recommended for outlook
    • PST repair: I recall this was a tool/option in Outlook that helped fix some eccentricities (OL not mine) wayyyy back in OL98.
