    Increase Height of Firefox Tabs?

    I have googled and googled, searched through about:config, and looked at various add-on's, but I cannot find a way to increase the height of my tabs in FF. Width, no problem, but height I cannot find. My tabs are too darn skinny.

    Perhaps because it's totally dependent on system font size?

    Are your fonts larger than your tabs?

    It took me an hour but I found a way to increase the height of the tabs without the need to increase the font size. You can also increase the font size of the tabs without increasing other font sizes.

    Open "C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\[RANDOM STRING].default" and create a new folder called "Chrome", next open Notepad and paste the following code into it.
    Code:
    @namespace url(http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul);

    .tabbrowser-tabs *|tab {
        font-size: 12px !important;
        height:    50px !important;
        min-width: 8px !important  }
    Save this in the new folder "Chrome" as "userChrome.css".

    You can see the height is set to 50px which is probably bigger than you want so you can change the values to what you like but you'll need to restart Firefox each time you make a change.

    Thank you Duzzy I use this to make my tabs smaller.
    I would like to add just one thing if you are not using the default profile with Firefox you will need to put it in your profile folder that's what I had to do.

    I was intrested in if it could be done and I'm happy to help.

    @Bongo
    Thanks for added advice. I use the default profile and don't even know how to create a different profile. Would I be right in saying that the path would be "C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\[DIFFERENT PROFILE]" and you still needed too create the Chrome subfolder?

    For others any idea where to put it if using a 3rd party theme?

    Yes it's C:\Users\YOUR USER NAME\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles then the profile you are using I have 4, 1 is default. And the Chrome subfolder was all ready there.
    I am using a 3rd party theme so it would be the same place.
