How do I click on a URL I typed in Wordpad and get it to open site.

    Hello Fellow members,

I I just lost an important function. When I store important websites I'm working on, I just type the complete URL on the Wordpad page I'm working on. For, instance, http://www.google.com
Then when I click on the URL it will open up the website. Somehow, I just lost that capability. How do I get it back.

Welcome to Seven Forums sydney14. I can open wordpad and type an address that then becomes a hyperlink as you mentioned. Saving it saves as a Word document for me however as I have Office installed. When you type the address, do you include the http:// part as well? Does the link appear blue as if it should be clickable? If you press the Ctrl button, then click does it open then? If you have a restore point from just before the problem started, that may be the easiest fix.

    sydney,
    Welcome to SevenForums.

    Hold down Left CTRL key.
    Left click on the link.

You will get a prompt asking you if you want to open the link.

Sounds like an insult to Notepad.
