    Making Links Open in Firefox


    OK, so I have Firefox set as my default browser... but yet in mIRC, if someone pastes a link and I double-click it, it opens in Internet Explorer.

    I tried the methods described here:

    But yet it still doesn't work. It worked in Vista.

    Does anybody know another way to do it? Besides disabling IE entirely... I like having it so if I want to let somebody use my computer I can open IE and not have to worry about them messing up my Firefox.

    Never mind, I fixed it.

    Turns out I did the wrong setting in Internet Options... everything works fine now! One of the mods can delete this thread if they want, as it's not letting me!

Well, I have searched and have not been able to find a solution to my particular issue: with IE9 set as default browser, when I click on a link in an Outlook message, the link will only open if IE is not already running. In other words, with IE closed if I click a link in Outlook, it will open, but...
Using FF 22 as default, but several programs I use (if not all), open IE nevertheless. My e mail program The Bat! is one of them, they say their program just looks at the default browser. Should I change registry keys? Is it a good idea to remove IE altogether? W7 = Ultimate.

Hello, I don't know what I did, but now if I click a link on a program on my PC it opens in Internet explorer instead of Firefox, How can i fix that? and open all links in Firefox only? Thanks.
