So we had Godaddy.com for IMAP e-mail but it wasn't working well, so we decided to switch to Google Apps. I changed the MX records and setup the new accounts.

Then I went into Outlook and edited the existing account to use IMAP with the new mail servers. Great! Everything worked... but oops... all the old mail disappeared...

I changed the MX records back and used POP to download the old mail to a new PST file, then change the MX records back to the new ones and moved the old mail into join the new account's e-mails.

All this was acceptable... until I learned that evidentally there were subfolders that didn't get pulled down on POP. they exist on the iphone but don't sync back to the new account... I really don't want to disrupt mail again by changing MX records...

The thing is, the PST file in outlook, is like 10GB... but there's only a few hundred messages... that makes me believe the old mail folders are still in the PST file, I just can't seem. Is there any way to access them?

I suggest using the free ScanPST.exe utility that is provided with office. Make a backup of the PST first before scanning it. The tool can be found in Office 2010 in C:\Program files\Microsoft Office\Office12.
