    email body shown as attachment

After working fine for four months in Win7 Ultimate, W.L.M. now displays the bodies of emails as attachments when I first open them. The next time I open them, or after a relaunch of W.L.M., they will probably show normally. How to fix ?

I can not bring on the effect - so will have to wait until, it happens again. But there is really nothing to show. The body of the email is empty, but there is an attachment instead - until it comes good, and then there is NO attachment, but the email body has content.

Try emptying your temporary Internet Files. In IE> Tools> Internet Options> General tab> Browsing history> Click
    Delete

Messages must be stored to temp before being displayed. If your temp folder is full, it could cause this odd behavior.

If your AV program has a mail scanning feature, that can also cause it. See if leaving the message display blank, and waiting, eventually allows it to display the text.

    Thank you, A Guy.
"If your temp folder is full, it could cause this odd behavior." That is unlikely to be the case, as I do not use I.E.
"If your AV program has a mail scanning feature, that can also cause it." I believe my AV has that. Then what ?
"See if leaving the message display blank , and waiting, eventually allows it to display the text." I have already said that it comes good after a while, so even if what you say happens - it is no solution to the problem.

You may not use IE, but you do use temp files. I'm still suggesting deleting temp internet files. You must remember WLM is a Microsoft program, and your system does use IE. If deleteing temp files does not fix it, your next test is to disable your AV temporarily to see if that correct the issue (disable just the email scanning if that is possible). A Guy

I have deleted the Temporary Internet Files (in I.E.). As for it's effect, I repeat - I can not bring the trouble on, so only if emails start opening normally will I know of success.

It IS possible to disable scanning of email - I'll try that if the problem returns.

    Thank you.

Your emails have been opening normally - but I expect that anyway. Tomorrow morning I'll know if things have improved. I WILL let you know.
