    Script error messages in Internet Explorer 8

    I am getting Script error messages popping up when I try to use Internet Explorer 8 as a browser - not every time I open IE8, but on a fairly regular basis.

    This is the script error message that appears;

    First problem I have is that I'm never sure whether or not to continue running the script, or stop it all together?

    Secondly, is there anything I can do to fix whatever problem there is to stop this pesky message from happening?

    Thirdly, I haven't a clue what 'scripts' are about, and no understanding of their functions or dirty habits.

    Fourthly, I fired up the URL and got rubbish, but it does [well to me anyway] seem to suggest a bug with the Google Toolbar I have as an add-on with IE8.

    Looks like Google script is the offender

    ...just checking another thread about scripts here, and although the screen shot is too large to show the error message clearly enough to read, it appears as though this is a Google bug...

    ...other thread is here, and also no suggested fixes yet...

    You can turn off Script debugging to prevent them displaying.

    Open IE> Tools> Internet options> Advanced> Under the Browsing section, untick Display a notification about every script error

    Apply and OK your way out

    If they persist, also uncheck both Disable script debugging (Internet Explorer) and Disable script debugging (Other) boxes
