    Windows Live Mail res://ieframe.dll/preview.js error

Hi, Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. Trying to print email from Windows Live Mail results always in this error:

    Line: 295
    Char: 1
    Error:%1 is not a valid Win32 application
    Code: 0
    URL: res://ieframe.dll/preview.js

I've uninstalled/reinstalled the Mail program as well as the printer and driver. Printing works fine with everything else, including IE 9 64-bit. Any ideas?

Try this, we will re-register some dll files. Suggest go offline and temporarily disable your active AV protection.

Start> In search box type run> In run box type the following in order (you should get a success message after each)

    regsvr32 ole32.dll

    Enter

    regsvr32 oleaut32.dll

    Enter

    regsvr32 actxprxy.dll

    Enter

Restart PC. See if that helps.

If no help, you can try resetting IE

Thanks for the reply. I found that solution elsewhere and have already tried it to no avail.

OK, have you tried the automated method to Re-register all the dlls in IE? Pick the appropriate button and click it (Re-register 32 bit IE in 64 bit Windows 7). If no help, try the reset button.

You've probably already run across this thread as well?

Cannot print from Windows Live Mail or IE 9

Just tried the former, still no love. As to the latter, I've seen it and many other threads with similar problems, but they all recommend the same things as you and none make any difference. I appreciate the suggestions!

Edit: OK, figured it out. I'd forgotten that I had renamed IE 9 32 bit and copied IE 9 64 bit to the x86 directory so I could use the 64 bit version as default. So I put things back and now Mail prints. Apparently it's a 32 bit app and needs IE 32 to work properly. Well, I learned something anyway...
