    Bookmark backup/Synch for IE

Is there such a thing? Chrome and FF import of bookmarks and backup is seamless. It took me half an hour to update IE bookmarks. And sorting them A-Z. is there an easier way? I'd like to start using IE some again--but this is WAY too labor intensive.

You need to find out where bookmarks live in IE and then simply back up that folder--weekly or monthly, whatever suits you.

Should be very easy once you know the location. Dig into the IE configuration and look for it.

That's what I did when I used IE, but I have forgotten the location. I configured my regular backup program to copy that IE folder to a backup drive on demand.

It is very easy in IE. Just click on the star top right (next to the cog wheel) and then on the little arrow in the "Add to Favorites" box. There you have the Export control. That will produce a bookmark file that you then can reimport into any IE.

For sorting, click on the star again and then right click on any of your favorites. That gives you a "sort by name" option.

Try using Xmarks (xmarks.com), use to be Foxmarks, I believe. It backs up & syncs your book marks between ie, Chrome & firefox. It will also do this across multiple computers. I've been using it for yers,.
