"Please refresh your browser window."

Please refresh your browser window. When you access your Hotmail account from more than one computer, we ask you to sign in again to help keep your account private and secure. More info

Why do I keep seeing this in HM?

You didn't say if you were accessing your account from more than one computer.

Just this one. I have been able to determine I see this behavior in Chrome only. FF and IE, not. If you google this deal, you'll see people have reported in for YEARS. I see the same comments going back to 07.

This is, as you say, an ongoing problem. The common workaround is to change the user agent to show as another browser that does not exhibit this problem.

I have also seen people report that they have had luck in changing their Hotmail password.

I'll try changing the password. How can a prob exist for 5 years in a program of this magnitude?

Also, I notice that when I have either FF or Chrome Hotmail page open, I'll see the tab refresh rapidly for awhile--up where the logo and name are. Typical?

Hotmail has always been buggy for me, I thing from when they linked it to messenger, even if you have messenger turned off. My emails always do a refresh jump. I have learned to wait if I want to copy something, until after the page jumps. BTW, this is apparently a Hotmail issue, not a browser issue. A Guy

P.S. Looks like we are neighbors

No, as you've no doubt seen by searching, there are pages of "me too" posts with the same problems. A Guy
