Resolve PayPal Error 111 (net::ERR_TUNNEL_CONNECTION_FAILED)?
Please help! I have never had any problems accessing webpages on any browser and have not updated any browser of software. However, as of this morning I am unable to access PayPal from Chrome (19.0.1084.52), Internet Explorer, or Firefox (both the most recent versions). No problems with FB, Google, or any other https:// sites that I've tried. I use Windows 7 Home Premium on a 64-bit system. I had a friend sign in to my account from her computer, so I know it's not a glitch with PayPal. I can access paypal.com/paypal (in Portuguese??) but when I try to log in and it redirects to https://www.paypal.com and I get this message on Chrome:
This webpage is not available
The webpage at https://www.paypal.com/br/cgi-bin/we...locale.x=pt_BR might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.
Error 111 (net::ERR_TUNNEL_CONNECTION_FAILED): Unknown error.
On Firefox I just get a pop-up that says "Try again later!" and then am redirected to PayPal Sandbox. On IE I get "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" with some advice on checking the SSL and TSL protocols, which I did to no avail.
I've tried EVERYTHING that I've found on forums across the net: run anti-virus, CCleaner, various cmd command prompts, checked my firewall settings, checked my proxy settings, changed the DNS address...and NOTHING works. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you!!!
