What email client are you using? It may have a setting to block opening graphics attachments since opening email attachments can be dangerous. If you right click the attachment do you get a SendTo menu? If so you can put a shortcut to a graphics viewer or PS if you want to open with that. It varies by email client.
To find the SendTo folder you can type
shell:SendTo
in the search line in the start menu. Just hit Enter when it highlights the result.
Thanks for your reply. I have had a look at the right click drop down menu on the attachment and no, sorry to say I don't have a "send to" facility however, I can preview the pictures and "save as" Isuppose that is better than nothing. I will have a look at PS and see what I can find. I have never seen anything which will stop attachments opening when received by e-mail. Something to look in to.
Thanks again,

I use PS5 in conjuction with the Adobe Bridge for RAW pictures.

Unless you specify the email client you are using it's tough to suggest anything. Most email clients these days have settings or options controlling attachments. I'd look on a forum for the particular email client.
