internet explorer 9 started to freeze after update

    Hello everone

I am writing from Turkey and English is not my first language so please excuse me if i have any mistake but i could not find the right answer in Turkish forums

i am using windows 7 ultimate and 2 day ago i updated windows, and installed internet explorer 9 updates too, and then ie is out of service, whenever i click ie, it opens but suddenly crashes and doesnt respond, so i close program, again and again...i run Malwarebyte , there is no malware spyware or virus, but when i run iexplore.exe -extoff and start like that -without extensions- it starts as usual, without any problem,

i run microsoft fix it, could not find anything to fix

i dont usually use ie 9 but i want to fix it, what can cause this?

Thank you very much, have a good day

Welcome to Seven Forums yigit28 and aharon66. In searching, you are not alone. You can uninstall that update, but you might want to try running IE without addons to see if it is one of your addons. The DFX-plugin in the Win.Med.Player is known to cause this.

Latest Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer 9 for Windows 7 (KB2699988) makes IE9 unusable.

Start> In search box type Internet Explorer> Click on Internet Explorer (No Add-ons) in results above

See if that works. If not, you can uninstall the update until there is a fix. The update is KB2699988

Hello A "Good" Guy, thank you very much for your support, very helped to me, i had to make a choice between DFX and windows update, i have chosen DFX =) i uninstalled update but problem continued, it did not worked for me then i uninstalled DFX and voila! ie9 worked successfully again, and when i install DFX again, i unchecked plugin for ie, now problem solved, DFX and ie9 works without any problem. i am not thinking of installing KB2699988 update again until a fix, thank you very much for your support and effort, really helped a lot, greetings from Turkiye, have a nice day... (i hope you can understand what i wrote =)
