    Adobe Flash keeps crashing

This has been happening ever since the latest Adobe Flash update about a week ago.

I have put up with it each time, as it was always when I made a video full screen. But once I refreshed the page and didn't use full screen, it was ok.

But I didn't realise that Ebay's Final Hour Countdown feature is flash based, so it does not work anymore. And THAT is important for snipers like me!

So how do I fix it please?

    thank you

Uninstall the flash player, Download the 11.3.300.250 beta 3 from the right side listings of older versions of the page Download Flash Player 11.3.300.257 (Non-IE) 64-bit - FileHippo.com (adobe's pagewill give the recent one only, most probably). Install it.

Keep auto update of flash player stop until the next stable version releases.

Edit: I assumed that you use a browser other than IE ... if you use IE, follow this link : http://filehippo.com/download_flashplayer_ie/ .

    Hi Arc,

I uninstalled the latest version and clicked on the version 11.3.300.250 like you said, but when I clicked the download link (top right) I got this page:

I also got the same page for the beta 2 version under it, but was successful with Flash Player 11.3.300.214 Beta 1 (Non-IE) 64-bit.

Will that be ok? Or does it definitely have to be version 11.3.300.250 Beta 3?

    thanks

Also I was not given an option to stop auto updates. How do I do this please?

    thanks a lot

Yes, any working older version will be nice, and including that one you obtained.

The stop auto update option should be there in the installer's window, or in the update pop-up. If the "r300.257 wants to install once again, dont let it to be installed. Skip this version, I guess the next one will be available within a few days.

Very nice to know that your trouble is gone

    Hi,

Sorry I have had to mark this as unsolved again, as it has started happening again.

I looked at Task Manager and there are TWO adobe flash processes running. I don't understand why that is.

And the bigger one is sometimes even overtaking Firefox itself as the number one resource user.

I have not installed another version BTW. I still have version 11.3.300.214 Beta 1 (Non-IE) 64-bit.

    I have found this page
Adobe Forums: Flash Player 11.3.300.257 Keeps Crashing On Mozilla Firefox 13

...that shows lots of other people have problems with it. I don't fully inderstand what the Adobe Employee is saying, but from what I can see he is making people jump through an awful lot of hoops - and none are working!

Some of the troubleshooting involves having to register at their site and submit bug reports, but they don't tell you how. They are also suggesting using a different browser. I can understand this from a diagnostic POV but not permanently. That's unacceptable!

It seems to be suggested that the problem exists because there are TWO Flash players on people's systems. But they tell you if you uninstall one, it will uninstall both!!

I'm really confused and fed up!

    Any ideas please?

    thanks a lot
