How to set home page URL in Google Chrome and keep it set
I am using and love Google Chrome but am having trouble setting the "home page" to stay what I set it to.
I have tried everything to set my home page to Google but everytime I activate it from startup or to getting back to the home page it takes me to https://www.google.com.au so that when I type any URL I get taken to a secure website, and it's driving me NUTS.
I am getting OLD so I often forget about the first part of a URL
This also happens when I am on the Google page and it asks me if I want to set Google as my home page, and I click "yes" back it comes as https://www.google.com
I have got to the stage of ditching Google Chrome
So could anyone save my sanity and tell me what I am missing please?
For anyone not knowing what I am talking about:
[ http ] is the leader for any standard URL (web address)
[ https ] is the leader to go to a secure URL (web address)
Thanks in advance
