Well, that is odd. I notice all of your queries are HTTP tunnels (SSL requests) over port 443. Is that intentional?

Your question is above my level of technical proficiency, sorry. This is a company issued laptop, happy to make a change if you point me in the right direction. Thanks again for all the help, I really appreciate it!

The question I guess should be, in the address bar - did you type http://www.google.com, or https://www.google.com? The behavior I see is the latter, so if you didn't type https to visit google, then something is definitely interesting about your browser.

I typed google and then hit Ctrl/Enter. I just tried it a few times more and it always resolves to https, even if I type out the full url of http://www.google.com it reverts back to https. I have never noticed this before......

Hmmm. If you use the 64bit version of IE, does it still resolve to https://www.google.com?

Wow. That is *not* normal...

I guess the only thing to do is to wait until the problem re-occurs, and then get another trace. In the meantime (to be ready for your PC's behavior), open Fiddler, go to Tools > Fiddler Options, click the "HTTPS" tab, and click to check the box labeled "Decrypt HTTPS Traffic" and click the OK button (if you receive any prompts to install and/or trust a certificate, please affirm by clicking "Yes" or "OK"). You can then close fiddler and be ready for next time, I guess.

I'm wondering though, in your case, if there isn't something else installed on this PC that is causing it that isn't Windows or IE-related at all...

Ok, the problem just started happening again. Attached is the Fiddler file, I first went to this web site, very slow, then went to Google, and after about a minute a page came up with a certificate error, I continued on and after a delay Google loaded under https as before. I'm beginning to think maybe this has to do with my Internet provider Comcast because we had a power cycle here last night and then this started happening again. I also tried to reset the cable modem and Linksys E4300.....did not resolve the issue.
