IE9 won't stop remembering a password!

    I should have clarified in my original post, I was trying to solve the issue on an HP machine for an acquaintance.

    I have pinged over a message and my acquaintance has said the issue has been reolved by uninstalling HP simplepass. Thanks JayEJay. A most auspicious beginning to your membership here.

    To give credit where it is due, I found this solution at forums.techguy.org. I had the same problem, and it has been bugging me long enough that I wanted to create an account just to pass it on.
