    E Bay Scam Site

Not sure if this is the right place, please Admin feel free to move it.

Yesterday I received an Email, supposedly from E Bay, stating that a member had been refused payment by me. Didn't open it, as I do very little business at EB, but just before I closed it and contacted EB, my IS (AVG) told me it was a hookey site; -

    hidranolimit.xtraweb.com

EB confirmed this to be correct, I deleted the rogue. Please take note, all you EBay-ers out there!

Bertison, that method is a very popular way of getting users to click on a link in a message.
I get a few a day from UPS with directions to open a .zip or .html file. Of course the delete key
works great. Telling unskilled users that they have a problem with any of the major on-line companies
and click on some link to correct it is a favorite ruse.

    Just hit the delete key.

Thank you Rich, but delete is exactly what I did, after taking note of the address and contacting E bay. I simply wanted to post a warning.

I got a complimentary response from EB, btw.
