Help with printing PayPal notices in Windows Live

Hi all,

I'm new to this forum, so if I make any faux pas please bear with me!

Anyway my problem is with Windows Live and the fact that whenever I get PayPal payment notices they appear right in the middle of the viewing pane (central aligned to the page) and therefore when I print them out, they print out with the right side of the page missing.

PayPal emails are the only ones that show up right in the middle of the page and won't print out correctly. All other emails show up left side aligned to the page.

Can anyone help with this problem?
I'm getting a bit fed up of having to write in the missing details.

Regards,
Suze

Hello Suze and welcome to Seven Forums.

The only faux pas so far is using words like faux pas. This is an international Forum. Us peoples in the Colonies don't got no good edjumacations to unnerstan' stuff like that.

As to your problem, it's hard to determine if it's a PayPal issue or a Windows Live issue. Since the PayPal emails are the only ones not cooperating, it might be easier to use a work-around just for them rather than trying to isolate the cause. Are you able to see the entire email contents when they show up in the middle of the page? If yes you could probably use one of the free PDF readers to convert it to a PDF file and print it out from there.

Nitro PDF Reader

Or perhaps even the built in snipping tool to save it as a JPEG or HTML file or Print Screen to save to Paint and print from there. I know it's not the greatest thing having to add a few extra steps, but if you don't have to deal with an unusually large number of PayPal emails it may be the simplest solution.

Sorry for not having anything better to offer.

Hi marsmimar,

Thanks for your suggestions.
Sorry for the "faux pas" comment. Guess I'm just too well educated! Ha ha.

I'm actually extremely new to Windows 7 altogether. I was using XP for a long long time and only decided to upgrade because my son is at University and wanted to use my PC for certain work projects and hated the fact I still had XP.

So apart from the fact Windows Live is a pain to get used to; I loved Outlook Express, I don't know what all the tools etc are on Windows 7 or Windows Live yet, so bear with me if I seem a bit thick.

Can you please expand on the "Or perhaps even the built in snipping tool to save it as a JPEG or HTML file or Print Screen to save to Paint and print from there" comments you made. I know how to print screen from using internet explorer, but how would that work in Windows Live, as I wouldn't get the whole email in the pic?
Plus I don't know anything about the snipping tool you mention. How do you use that?

Regards,
Suze

Please forgive my added questions. I'm just trying to visualize exactly what you're seeing on your screen when you get one of those PayPal emails. If I'm understanding things correctly, you probably have a horizontal and vertical scroll bar that allows you to scroll up and down and left and right through the email, but you can't "fit" the entire email on the screen so all of it can be seen at one time. What happens if you put your cursor someplace within the email and right-click? Do you get a menu showing a "Print..." and "Print Preview..." option? If yes, click "Print Preview..." and see if it shows the entire email, possibly on two or more pages. If it does you should be able to print a final copy from the "Print Preview..." page.

If the above doesn't help, do you have a second free email account like from Gmail or Yahoo? Perhaps you could try forwarding the PayPal email to your second account. It may arrive visible in its entirety and you could then print.

If I'm understanding the basic issue (not being able to see the entire PayPal email all at one time without having to scroll through the various sections) the Print Screen won't help and neither will the Snipping Tool. But these articles may help explain the Snipping Tool for future reference.

Hi Marsmimar,

I have a vertical scroll bar down the left side and on one side is my email account details/boxes.
I have the toolbars at the very top of the page.
I have a section for where the emails come in, which state "from", "subject", "date".
I have a section under that where I get to see the view of the actual email I received and to the right of that is a vertcial scroll bar so I can scroll up and down the particular message I'm viewing.

If I place my cursor within the message and right click all I can use is "select all" option.

I don't have another email account. I spend enough time trying to keep up with the emails I have coming in on my three sky email IDs.

Suze

I'm going to ask the other Forum members for some assistance on this. My initial reaction is something in the way PayPal formats its emails isn't playing nice with Windows Live. On the other hand, the email programs I use most like Yahoo, Gmail, and GMX all have a button or link or option to "view in full screen mode" or something to that effect. Really wish I could have been more help, Suze. I'm sorry. Hopefully some more knowledgeable folks will jump in with some ideas.
